Nathaniel Buzolic (August 4, 1983) is an Australian presenter, photographer and actor. He hosted “The Mint” on Channel Nine and had a regular role on the BBC series “Out of the Blue” (2008). He also co-hosted the educational program “Weather Ed”, not The Weather Channel. He is best known for his role as Kol Mikaelson in the CW series, “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals.”

A native of Sydney, Nathaniel grew up in a low- income household with a dedicated single mom. Surprisingly, acting wasn’t his original dream. Young Nathaniel lived and breathed basketball until an injury side-lined him in year 9, but it was during his extended recovery that he discovered the magic of acting.
He studied acting with the Australian Theatre for Young people from 1998 to 2001. Nathaniel is a graduate of Screenwise Film & TV School for Actors in Sydney Australia. Buzolic’s leadership skills and ability to captive the audience was demonstrated when he was appointed school captain of De La Salle in 2001. In 2007 Nate graduated from the University of Western Sydney with a Marketing Degree. As well as acting and presenting, Nate has played competitive basketball for New South Wales and is a keen Snowboarder.

He also starred in a number of school productions as well as dancing in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000. His first television role was in 2001 when he landed a guest role in Water Rats. Other roles followed in the long running series Home and Away (2002), All Saints (2003) and hosting the Disney Channel’s afternoon kids show, Studio Disney (2005). He has also appeared in the feature films Dirty Deeds alongside John Goodman and Bryan Brown, S.M.S. Road Rage, Multiple Choice, Offing David, My Greatest Day Ever and Needle. He was also a co-host of the educational show Weather Ed on the Weather channel gameshow The Mint.
